The main focus of the Duisburg-Essen group is - in addition to the common trunk tasks- the investigation of deficits in cognitive control and peculiarties in the moral judgment of (criminal) scenarios and their neural correlates. Based on the acquired findings, knowledge of the cognitive control mechanisms of behavioral control will be complemented with neurobiological data. In the long run, psychotherapeutic treatment goals will possibly be adapted.
